Midcomp has installed a second JHF UV flatbed printer at Independent Packaging and Print Group (IPAK). The JHF Vista V3800 LED UV flatbed printer is the ideal choice for POP and Packaging environments.
The V3800 equipped with cool curing LED lamps, allows for heat-sensitive media to be processed which can open up lucrative markets. LED lamps are always ready to go, with neither a warm-up nor a cool-down period. The printer can handle a variety of applications such as acrylic, aluminium composite panels, ceramic tile, wood, polyester, polycarbonate, polystyrene, (high-density) PVC, flexible foam panels, glass and metal (with a primer).
Independent Packaging was established in 1991. As specialists in the manufacture and supply of corrugated packaging, the company has added on litho and commercial printing to its services over the years and today runs a few facilities.
CEO Jaco Malan explained that this is not the first machine of its kind to be installed at its digital facility, having previously installed a JHF V2800.
‘As the V3800 is not the first machine, it helps us by getting jobs out faster. We found that with continuous high demand and increasingly tight deadlines we were not able keep up with one UV flatbed printer.
The V3800 has helped us improve our lead times with its faster speed, larger table size (2000mm x 3000mm), and increased productivity, especially when having to do long run campaigns This means we can do larger point of sale (POS) units and other media without having to join materials.’
